Want to live more sustainably? Fancy trying your hand at eco-craft? Discoveries are to be made in the Wild Side – supported by SSE Renewables, a leading developer and operator of renewable energy and offshore wind farms.

Drop by the tent, or sign up to one of the ticketed sessions (check out the event listings by day), where you’ll also find East Lothian Climate Hub, a collaboration between the East Lothian Climate Action network and LIL CIC.

John Clark Volvo, the FBTS Official Car Partner for 2024, will be showcasing the fully electric Volvo EX30, their smallest ever SUV, designed to have an especially small CO2 footprint.

Make less waste

If you’ve been to the festival before you’ll know that managing our waste and reducing our environmental footprint is a top priority for us.

The team from Caledonian Horticulture, along with our dedicated Green Team, will be collecting and sorting all of the waste on site to be shipped off for recycling and processing – our compostable cups are turned into compost and used by North Berwick in Bloom! We aim to leave the Lodge Grounds as we find it.

We’ll also be

Using biodegradable cups across the site.

Partnering up with ReUse Scotland to source site materials.

Ensuring all of our traders follow waste management plans.

Installing a water tap so you can re-fill.

Do your bit too!

Leave the car at home – we have special late night buses and trains planned and bike racks on site.

Bring a reusable/refillable cup for bars/traders.

Put your waste in the correct, colour-coded bin.
